About Tema For over 20 years Tema has been manufacturing multipurpose furnishings that combine simple form with careful, modern design. The product line, manufactured using hollow construction technology finished in wood veneer or colored lacquer, is made up of several lines and modular systems designed to offer comfortable, quality, versatile and affordable solutions to enhance any room in a house or small office while enabling each customer to express their own style. Filipe Alarcao, our senior designer, was born in Lisbon in 1963. With a degree in Product Design from the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon and a Masters in Industrial Design from the Domus Academy in Milan, his qualifications and vast experience speak for themselves. From 1995 to 1997, Filipe worked with Michele de Lucchi, in Milan, as a consultant for Olivetti Personal Computers, developing projects for their personal computers. Stepping into interior design, he has created spaces such as the ModaLisboa Design shop, Galeria Atlantis, 'Design aus Portugal' exhibit in Frankfurt, and the Delidelux shop in Lisbon. In 1994, he won the National Design Prize, promoted by the Portuguese Center for Design, in 2002, first prize for the Polis Competition for global signage systems for urban places in Portugal (in collaboration with communication designer Henrique Cayette), and also in 2002, first prize at the Architecture competition for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Elvas, Portugal (in collaboration with architect Pedro Reis). At present, Filipe Alarcao is sharing his time between his atelier in Lisbon - where he develops Industrial Design projects in furniture - and his PHD in Milan. He has made contributions to such established names as Vista AlegreAtlantis, Asplund, TemaHome, Schr�der, Senda, Cer�micas S. Bernardo, Larus, Moda Lisboa, and many others. His works are shown at the Design Museum at the Cultural Center of Belem, in Lisbon. D�lio Vicente, born on 1982, is the son of a skilled Portuguese carpenter, and spent his childhood learning the trade of his dad. At a very early age, he was already designing custom wood toys tree houses. His formation into a professional came with a degree in Industrial Design from the ESAD CR, having had his name displayed at the Bienal Exhibition of Young European and Mediterranean Creators on 2005, in Naples, Italy. About Tema For over 20 years Tema has been manufacturing multipurpose furnishings that combine simple form with careful, modern design. The product line, manufactured using hollow construction technology finished in wood veneer or colored lacquer, is made up of several lines and modular systems designed to offer comfortable, quality, versatile and affordable solutions to enhance any room in a house or small office while enabling each customer to express their own style. Filipe Alarcao, our senior designer, was born in Lisbon in 1963. With a degree in Product Design from the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon and a Masters in Industrial Design from the Domus Academy in Milan, his qualifications and vast experience speak for themselves. From 1995 to 1997, Filipe worked with Michele de Lucchi, in Milan, as a consultant for Olivetti Personal Computers, developing projects for their personal computers. Stepping into interior design, he has created spaces such as the ModaLisboa Design shop, Galeria Atlantis, 'Design aus Portugal' exhibit in Frankfurt, and the Delidelux shop in Lisbon. In 1994, he won the National Design Prize, promoted by the Portuguese Center for Design, in 2002, first prize for the Polis Competition for global signage systems for urban places in Portugal (in collaboration with communication designer Henrique Cayette), and also in 2002, first prize at the Architecture competition for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Elvas, Portugal (in collaboration with architect Pedro Reis). At present, Filipe Alarcao is sharing his time between his atelier in Lisbon - where he develops Industrial Design projects in furniture - and his PHD in Milan. He has made contributions to such established names as Vista AlegreAtlantis, Asplund, TemaHome, Schr�der, Senda, Cer�micas S. Bernardo, Larus, Moda Lisboa, and many others. His works are shown at the Design Museum at the Cultural Center of Belem, in Lisbon. D�lio Vicente, born on 1982, is the son of a skilled Portuguese carpenter, and spent his childhood learning the trade of his dad. At a very early age, he was already designing custom wood toys tree houses. His formation into a professional came with a degree in Industrial Design from the ESAD CR, having had his name displayed at the Bienal Exhibition of Young European and Mediterranean Creators on 2005, in Naples, Italy.
